Hybrid rooms - here to stay

Developments in diagnosis and co-intervention is fast and has created a need to do this in one location without having to move the patient from a radiology department to a surgery department. Something which in some situations is a difficult and risky move.

The difficulty has been to achieve the same low exposure level in the air in a hybrid room as in an operating room because a hybrid room has so many ceiling-hung installations that it is impossible to install a traditional LAF ceiling.

The requirement for low CFU levels in the Hybrid Room is the same as in an Operating Theatre as the operations often involves open chest surgery.

With Opragon this dilemma can easily be solved since the Opragon unit is installed outside the ceiling-mounted rails for the C-loop. Surrounding airshowers can be located where there is space available in the ceiling.

The C-loop, in this installation two, slides back and forth in the ceiling rail system. The Opragon is mounted outside the rail system. A simple and easy installation that gives plenty of room for other ceiling-mounted equipment.

In this hybrid room a floor-mounted C-arm is used and the Opragon 8 is installed with external air showers in the ceiling. A small and easy installation that gives plenty of room for other ceiling-mounted equipment.
